West Salem Business Association
December 14, 2016
Meeting called to order at 12:00 p.m. by President Aaron Dienger. After introductions and buffet lunch, the regular meeting commenced. Tamera Wagner of Junior Achievement reviewed for the membership what Junior Achievement contributes to the West Salem community.
Minutes and Treasurer’s Report
Secretary Teresa Schnitzler’s minutes of the November meeting were distributed, and Treasurer Patty Gjertsen’s Association bank balance report was distributed. The Association bank balance is $4,386.20. Celebrate West Salem bank balance is $1,129.97, and Winter Wonderland balance is $1,799.27 after expenses. There are currently 94 paid members.
Motion by Rick Wilson, seconded by Callie Stanhope to approve the minutes and the treasurer’s report as presented. Motion approved.
Board of Directors Member Opportunities
President Dienger stated there are one or two positions open on the Board of Directors for next year.
Celebrate West Salem
Celebrate West Salem has been scheduled for March 19, 2017, and the Committee has been meeting to plan for next year’s event. Anyone interested in working with this Committee, please contact Teresa Schnitzler or Brenda Osterlie.
The annual banquet is scheduled for Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Westview Inn.
Spotlight of the Month
Laurie Noelke, Coldwell Banker, was chosen as the January Spotlight Business of the Month.
Motion by Josh Storandt, seconded by Jodie Curtis to adjourn the meeting at 12:45 p.m.
